Ethics Committee

There may be times when you and your family will be faced with difficult treatment choices. Our Ethics Committee is available as a resource for information and advice and participates in the ethical policy making process at St. Mary's Hospital. The Ethics Committee guides, educates and assists members of the hospital, family, patients, and caregivers as they confront difficult or in many cases, painful decisions. The members of the committee can be consulted when families or caregivers feel the need for clarification of ethical issues.

A request to meet with the Ethics Committee can be made through your physician or healthcare providers. If you have any ethical concerns, please contact the Social Work Department at 973-365-4385.
